The first day of spring is here! Loving the tree and sky combos in the area. This is a nectarine tree that always has pretty pink flowers this time of year. Hoping to produce some colorful spring content this year, including the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival.
The next Shepard Fairey print will be a letterpress of Hammer and Fist. Composition is altered compared to the original version, but it seems like a trend that will happen for upcoming works in honor of Obey Giant’s 30th anniversary. Letterpress prints tend to be on the smaller size compared to usual Obey Giant prints, and this is no exception. It will be interesting to see what comes after this release! It’s been a while since the last offset print (open edition) announcement. Hopefully more reworks of classic images will be done in large format sizes as well.
Print specs listed below were originally posted by Obey Giant on their Instagram.

This film is the ultimate payoff for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and everything it has achieved since 2008. The official trailer for Avengers: Endgame kicks off with flashbacks of previous films focused on Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. It also features nearly everyone else that survived the Thanos snap, moving forward in some capacity. My gut feeling is that Ant-Man and Captain Marvel will play a great role in achieving some sort of success in Endgame. Thor will do his thing again with Stormbreaker. Everyone else looks so defeated, but willing to fight when the time comes.
Avengers: Endgame trailers and big game spot have had a solemn vibe. Both trailers, however, wrap up with a cheerful bit. First trailer shows Ant-Man trying to reach the Avengers. This time we get Thor and Captain Marvel meeting. They seem to have a chemistry in the few seconds shown so far. There is still a month and a half until release day. That leaves plenty of room for speculation talk and more promos to be put out (tv spots and maybe a “final” trailer?).
How about that new poster? It’s epic. Danai Gurira should’ve been credited up top with everyone else though. Oh, and let’s not forget the inevitable advance ticket sale. How soon? Hopefully soon. :)
Edit 3/14/19, 3:05pm: Marvel Studios added Danai’s name to the poster. The image below has been updated.
