Jedi Moon Cosplay as Primarina

I took an unusually long break from cosplay work, even knowing this photo set was due for posting. Steph knows I find myself knee deep with projects, but the pictures will eventually be finished. This was a little unique since we're in November. The Primarina shoot was in September, so two months of waiting. It's a different season to top it off, so hopefully people don't question things like "gee, why are you a mermaid in this chilly weather?"

Some of you might noticed two different styles in the photo set. I did the shoot with Canon and Fujifilm just to see how both performed for stills. The more consistent colors and contrast similar to previous work is with the Fujifilm. People that are used to my work might be able to separate the differences, especially if you look at the out-of-focus bits. It's fun working with so many blues in this outdoor setting (same location as the vintage Ariel shoot). I prefer the Fujifilm gear after looking at these side-by-side. The photo above is with the Canon. Photo below this paragraph is taken with Fujifilm.

These shoots with Steph are always a blast, especially when the finished work turns out like this. It's always nice when both sides of the camera are firing on all cylinders. Check out the complete photo set here. Enjoy!

Bastion in Maui Series | Day 5

Yesterday I was at my mom's wedding rehearsal, which wasn't that long of a process, but I still had to be there. Afterwards I got Bastion out for a quick shot on this rock near the wedding spot. It's right next to the beach, but not technically on the beach. A quick minute walk down some steps, and you're on the beach. This was shot with the Fujifilm X100F - somewhat forced myself to use the camera because I originally grabbed the X-T1 + 16mm combo because it's so fun to use. Aesthetically, I feel Bastion fits so well in outdoor settings, and this has made sense across plenty of mediums (in-game rustic versions, animated short Bastion).

Bastion in Maui Series | Day 4

Another evening time photo! This one was taken at Whalers Village last night after a light rain session. I hope the remaining days for the series can focus on daylight, but a fair portion of the week has been cloudy. Actually some daylight has happened, I just didn't have Bastion with me. Whalers is one of those shopping areas with a few fancy brands mixed with common stores found in malls around the country. It's probably the second busiest shopping area with Front Street being the main attraction.

It looks like this series will always be a day behind, unless today is any different. Photo above was taken with Fujifilm X-T1 + 16mm. :)
